Philippine Calculators โ€” Thesis Stats, Payroll, Bills and Engineering

Two very different sets of questions get asked here. Students working through a thesis need sample sizes, reliability coefficients and matrix operations with the steps visible. Workers and households need night differential, benefit estimates and an electricity bill that finally makes sense. Both are built here, and both show their working.

How Philippines figures are kept honest

Statutory and payroll tools name the issuing authority โ€” DOLE for premium pay rules, the SSS for contribution-based benefits, the BIR for withholding. Academic tools name the published formula and the author it is attributed to.

  • Bureau of Internal Revenue
  • Social Security System
  • DOLE
  • Department of Energy
  • CHED

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type leaves the page.

Why the statistics tools show every step

A thesis panel does not accept a number. It asks how you arrived at it, which margin of error you assumed, and why that sample size and not a larger one. A calculator that returns 384 and nothing else has not helped you defend anything.

So Slovin's, Cochran's and Cronbach's alpha all lay the substitution out: the values that went in, the intermediate arithmetic, and the rounding rule applied at the end. You can copy the working into your methodology chapter and it will survive a question about it.

Payroll and benefits, with the rule named

Night differential, holiday premiums and overtime in the Philippines stack in a specific order, and the order changes the answer. Ten per cent night differential on a rest-day overtime hour is not the same as ten per cent on the base rate, and getting it wrong understates what is owed.

The payroll tools set out which premium applies at which stage and name the DOLE rule behind it. Where a company's own policy is more generous than the statutory minimum โ€” and many are โ€” the calculator gives you the statutory floor to compare against, not a claim about what your employer owes.

What is not built, and why

Medication-dosing calculators are not here. The scheduling tool works out when to take a dose that has already been prescribed; it does not calculate how much. That line is deliberate, and it is not moving.

The arterial blood gas tool is framed for exam revision rather than bedside use, because that is the honest use case for a browser calculator with no patient context. For anything clinical, the tools practising professionals already trust are the right ones.

Questions people ask about this in Philippines

Which sample size formula should a thesis use, Slovin's or Cochran's?

Slovin's when you know the total population and want a quick defensible size at a set margin of error. Cochran's when the population is very large or unknown and you need to account for an expected proportion. Both calculators state which assumptions they are making so you can justify the choice in your methodology.

Are the payroll calculators based on DOLE rules?

Yes โ€” the statutory premium structure is taken from DOLE's published rules and named on each page. What the tools give you is the legal minimum. A company policy or CBA can be more generous, and many are, so compare rather than assume.

Do these calculators work on a phone with a slow connection?

Yes. Each page loads as plain HTML with a small calculation script and no external libraries, and once loaded the calculator runs entirely offline in the browser. Nothing is fetched while you type.
