The order of charges is the whole problem
Service charge is applied to the menu price. GST is then applied to the menu price plus the service charge. That sequence is why a 10% service charge and 9% GST do not add up to 19% — GST is charged on the service charge as well, and the real uplift is 19.9%.
Every tool in this category shows the sequence rather than a single combined multiplier, because the sequence is what people are actually trying to check when they look at a bill.
Where the rates come from
Statutory figures are attributed to the body that publishes them — IRAS for GST and income tax, the CPF Board for contribution ceilings, MOM for employment rules. Each carries the date it was last checked.
CPF ceilings in particular move on announced dates rather than annually, so every one of them is editable. If you are modelling a future year, enter the announced figure and the whole calculation follows it.
